New member. Had an eastern garter when I was a kid and now my son wants one as well...life if good. Having a hard time finding a local breeder though. We live in Northern Virginia...anyone have any ideas?

Phil came by the house,such a nice guy. We had a lot in common love of garters and him a marine. He had a great time checking out my collection.We discussed the different species and proper care.He is going to place the setup under the Christmas tree with pictures he took inside and then he'll bring his son by to pick the one's he likes. The only ones not available are my breeder adults and het goldens. A handshake and the joy on his son's face is the price.

I know most of you know this already through the posts on the forum, but I have to give a big shout out to Indigoman having met him and his family in person. He was nice enough to let me swing by Saturday and check out his collection. I can't wait for Christmas this year! My son is going to lose his mind when he realizes that he has earned my trust to care for a garter of his own. Thanks to Indigoman that will be a reality well before the spring birthing season. It was also great just to hang out and chat it up...it's always fun to meet a kindred spirit with a genuine love for the outdoors and a special understanding of the magic in garters. Thanks again Indigo!
