Hard to believe it's been almost 8 years since the kids and I visited the Nacisse dens in Canada. The tourist site was okay but the wild dens I was directed to were awesome. My best memory was being on the ground with thousands of snakes all around me, crawling over me. They came and inspected me and my camera. It was a great time.

I am going to ride my motorcycle out to Pelly Sask this spring. There is a den out there. Looks like about a 3.5 hour trip one way but it will be worth it. Sounds like early May is the time to go.

1 week to early, a week before Mother's Day. The snakes made their big appearance the week after we left. I still look at it as a great time. I'll probably return after I retire again, 2.5 years away.

Looks like a great place to visit. Grats. I've heard alot about the dens but haven't had the opportunity to get there yet.

We went 2 months before a passport was required. Getting across and back was very interesting. The Homeland Security officer tried to trick my kids into saying we had garter snakes in the van(1 ton 15 passenger) When he found out the reason for our visit he opened the back of the van and quickly asked my kids "Where are the garter snakes" my kids told him they were back in Iowa. It was all I could do to keep from laughing but I knew that would stall the process of getting across.
