OK, A FEW YEARS BACK I BRED A ERY/FLAME MALE SUPPOSED TO BE 100% HET SNOW TO A WC LIGHT GREEN COLORED FEMALE FROM UP NORTH AND SHE DROPPED SOME VERY NICE FLAMES AND ERYTHRISTICS WHICH I HELD 2 MALE ERY FLAMES AND 4 FEMALES BACK FOR MYSELF. I BRED ONE OF THESE MALES TO MY HIGH RED DICKINSON ERYTHRISTIC ALBINO AND BACKED HER UP WITH A DICKINSON ERYTHRISTIC ALBINO MALE AND THE ERY FLAME IS THE ONE THAT GOT THE JOB DONE AND HE WAS INDEED HET ALBINO / POSSIBLE SNOW. SHE DROPPED 4 ALBINO FLAMES, 2 NORMAL FLAMES, AND 4 NORMAL. ANY OF THESE GUYS COULD COLOR UP ERYTHRISTIC AS WELL. http://www.thamnophis.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=14008&stc=1http://www.thamnophis.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=14009&stc=1

Wow! Quality in and quality out! Projects often times take years especially when you have recessive genes in the mix. All those easterns are amazing and have the potential. Nice job Shawn. Congrats.

Thanks albert! They are not the highest red flames, but i hoping they will get more color as they grow. They are so tiny right now.

I'm interested in two females once you decide what you are willing to part with that may not already be spoken for.

Beautiful snakes! I'd be interested in one or two females if you have any that are not yet spoken for and you're willing to part with. I'm having difficulty sending a pm on here though...

These guys are doing great to be such small babies, but i do have one little albino flame that won't eat anything i have to offer. I have tried nightcrawler chunks, pinky parts, cut fish, live guppies, and frog meat without any luck. I wish i could get my hands on some live small tadpoles. Maybe it is just failure to thrive, but i will give it 100% and hope for the best. I plan to try an earthworn if i can get my hands on some it's just been so dry here.

Hey, have you tried "tease feeding" him? Sometimes that will work. Also, you may have to separate him into a small Tupperware bowl and lid or deli cup until he takes a couple of meals while in that smaller setting. The competition of feeding with littermates may be too much and intimidating to some of them.

I had what I thought was a failure to thrive this year. A small female het golden flame. I couldn't get her to eat anything so I decided to start force feeding as a last ditch effort. I started with mouse tail tips every other day. Before long she started eating chopped pinks on her own and is now a power house feeder! Good luck!!

Thats great Shawn! Do you still have it in a group enviornment? Live can certainly be a stimulating and attracting force for a hatchling. Congrats.

Yes, most of my babies tend to do better in a group environment. Now I just hope that the ery don't color up the top portion of the albinos. I like the albino flames better than the ery albino flames.

That's interesting, I had different results with the pastels and the albino checkereds with a couple of individuals. Once they began feeding better and putting on grams then I would place them back in a group enviornment.
