I'm bored & need to practice watercolors & drawing snakes, so post a picture of your snake & I'll paint them.
Attached image is a (poor quality picture lol) watercolor painting of a dog I did yesterday, just so you know what the art looks like.

Very pretty snakes, I will paint them soon! While I was waiting for replies, I painted the very fat, very grouchy Dekay's snake that lives in my flowerbed, using just wine & coffee.

I did Lucky, but the file is too big to imbed it. http://puu.sh/p0Zl6/8e3670cf02.jpg I could ship it to you if you like it! The colors are much richer in person.
And you can definitely buy the Dekay's painting, Jeff. Just PM me and I'll see what I can do. The left side of the paper is actually blank so I was thinking about adding another snake on that side.

No its all free unless someone wants something specific! If you want me to mail it just send me your address via PM and I'll send it. Again, it looks MUCH better in person, pictures dont really show how delicate watercolor looks.

The ones I do for JUST this thread are free, although I might have to charge a 5$ shipping fee if you want to physically keep the painting since apparently these are popular. If you want something besides a thamnophis I can draw just about anything although im not that great at people yet, and I can do traditional or digital art.
For a watercolor painting commission like the Lucky one which is just pencil and watercolor on a half-sheet (9x6 or 6x9) I charge 15$ shipping included, for watercolor finished with ink on a half-sheet like in the first post (though it will be more polished looking, the dog with the roses was just for a greeting card) I charge 20$ shipping included.
Full sheet watercolor paintings (9x12) vary by complexity, like a full landscape painting taking up the whole paper will be more than say a portrait of a pet.
Again these arent set in stone cause I literally just started watercolor painting like 2 weeks ago lol.
Also here is my little goober Ash, he was being a lovely model while i sketched the scales on the snakes head.

Sure, Ill be able to start on the sketch tonight. PM if you have any pose in mind for him or any additional details you want me to include, otherwise Ill design it however I think looks best. After I finish the sketch I'll send it to you to OK or add/tweak some things, then I'll paint after that. Thanks for the interest!

The first is my old garter. The second is a wild cottonmouth in case you wanted to try something different than a garter.

Not really a garter but it's a nice picture. :)
I have different dog (snake) pose photo's if you are interested.
I have a lot more cute pictures! :P
Like 4 of them cuddeled together or curious heads sticking out a hide, etc etc.

Ah true Albert. I wonder how he's doing.
I feel like this is rather unsettling that she hasn't been responding to requests for quite some time now. And I'm worried. It's a state of emergency that has been declared in 3 quarters of the state of Texas bc of the severe rains and flooding . I hope she responds soon!

Hey Im sorry I totally fell off the face of the earth for a few months. Life happened. But Im back with more garter snake art. Not a painting, done with ink and markers.

This is for AntTheDestroyer who requested art of their garter, Xuihcoatl. If they want it Ill ship it to them for free, but if not itll go to whoever else wants it.
Again, sorry for disappearing for so long! Im glad to be back though and Ill be taking requests again. I probably wont be able to do every single suggestion but Ill do ones that interest me.
