So a while ago I posted about my new WC garter and some ways to switch him onto mice. So people said he may take them unscented, and although he showed interest, he didn't eat. What worked very well was chopped worm bits all over the mouse, to really scent it, but he never ate unscented mice, until now. What I tried, was to not feed him for a longer period of time. Not so long as to starve him, about 3 weeks. When he was presented unscented mice, which he noticed before, would smell then move away, he attacked it without thought. He had swallowed 2 unscented pinkies fast than I had ever seen. Hoping this will get him to eat unscented even with out being "starved" before hand.

Once they catch on that the unscented ones are food, they usually don't need to go back to having them scented or having food withheld again.

I concur with Lora.

Also concur. Delilah just took her third unscented pink two days ago. Out of tongs in my hand at that :D
