So say I want to breed my Albino Checkered garter snake, what babies would I get out of these morphs?

Albino/Pastel
Albino/Granite
Albino/Albino (And with the rest, eg Granite/Granite. Im guessing Super Granite/Super pastel?)

Thanks :-)

Well, albino to pastel pairing should give pastels het for albino albino being recessive. Albino to granite would yield hets for both granite and albino, granite and albino both being recessive. They would be double het for both genes. Albino to albino pairing will yield albinos. Granite pairing to granite would be super granite. This is all IMO. Percentages may vary on the results of the offspring.

Thanks!
I may stand corrected on some of my interpretations of possible offspring though. Welcome to the garter nation! Haha.

If it's a male I would grab one of Alberts granite females.

ohhh ok. Im pretty sure mine is male, (this is because he's so small.) Is there a way to tell? Invert hemipeines or however you spell it lol?
Probe? Granite does seem to look nice.

Problem is, they have 40 odd babies. HOW WOULD I CARE FOR THEM ALL?

Well, I think 20 to 30 may be a more appropriate number for albino checkered who are not as heavy bodied as the plains garters. And as for the granites or the het granite checkered, the largest litter was 6 ! Six scrubs was the largest amount of scrubs from either of my female het granites. I have a beautiful granite pastel female for you if you so decide. She is a juvenile at 4.5 months now. Has a voracious appetite !!! :D:D

the first year your looking at 10-20 the second will be the big one then pretty normal litters after and you sell them lol i would take a couple off your hands if you do decide to breed a granite to him

Verify the sex of what you have also. Make sure it's a male.

Pick up the snake and hold it straight up and down (vertical). With the tail and cloaca facing the camera, take the picture. We needed a couple more angles to be sure.
