So three years ago a guy with a love for reptiles from his early childhood on finds an albino snake in his yard doing some spring cleaning. I knew right away that I needed to find a home for this amazing animal or learn to care for it myself. The chances for its survival were not great where it was. One of the first moves I made was the net, and one of the first places I found was this forum. Right away the response was positive and helpful and the loudest strongest voice was guidofatherof5. Steve Gilfillan your early words of help and encouragement were key in allowing me to believe in myself that I could care for the animal and that it could thrive and I thank you sir for that. I notice in the welcome area you are almost always the first one there to say welcome to a new member, and it makes me wonder, how many other people has he effected in the way he did me? I thank you for that. But one of the most important things you did back then, and this was like day one or two, you shared your personal contact information and said anytime. With that that day you said because of where you are I'm going to get in touch with a good friend of mine in your city and he can help you out in a pinch as well. I thank you for that.
The friend that Steve arranged contact with that day was Mark. Over the last three years Mark and I would talk more and more, and as that trust built up over time more and more parts of Marks interest in the hobby and his projects would be shared. I started my high red radix group because of him. Mark has worked on some really amazing projects in almost total obscurity and silence except for Steve and more recently me. It is with that most recent trust and friendship that I have been brought in to help out a friend with a project that has been in the works for years. The Achromatic.
