Help please! Giving birth

I rescued a garter snake last night, put her in the cage, and this morning, there was a dead baby. Not sure when she went into labor, should I expect more babies? What should I do for her? Also put this in urgent care, because I know nothing about snakes and don't know what to do! I will remove if I have too :)
