i have been asked what snake this is and to be honest i dont have a clue. i recon its a garter but not sure what type. it was found in massachusetts.

It's not the best picture in the world...but I think it's a sirtalis.

i thought it might be that but i couldn't tell because of the white line down the spine

that's a t s sirtalis, eastern garter, with some nice orange color!!!!!

i don't know i didn't take it someone i know just asked me to ID him but the dorsal strips was not obvious so was unsure of what it was
do you think it could be a western plains?

Haha!:D I see what you mean though.....from the picture it could almost be radix.
that is what i was thinking lol it looked like a pic from the last photo contest of the westen plains.

Sorry guys thats deff. T. s. Sirtalis looks alot like mine just alot smaller and a little lighter in color.........:rolleyes:
