The second litter of 2015 for Garter Snake Morph was born this afternoon. One of my female T.infernalis, aka neon blue California red-sided, had 46 big healthy babies and only one stillborn with yoke still. She looked like someone took all the air out of her when she was done, but she has since had a drink of water and looks re-inflated. This may be a new captive record for this species. Super stoked about this litter...actually kind of in shock about it. Pic of mom taken yesterday and then the bucket full of babies.

Sorry, I should have stated more specifically- this may be a record number for a CBB litter of T. sirtalis infernalis (the subspecies). However, it's not like I am calling the Guiness Book of World Records over to my house, lol .
