what was the golden bred to?

She was bred to the golden for a month, then he crawled into one of her fresh sheds and suffocated himself. That really was a horrible sight to find one morning. So, after that I bred her to the black and red mohr erythristic flame male as backup. If goldens are produced we know the golden got the job done. If erythristic flames are produced we know the other guy did the job and either way any non-goldens are 100% het golden since she is a visual golden female and the golden gene is a proven simple recessive gene.

A friend of mine parrish coker caught the original male here in south carolina. You should have seen people walking by his table at the show with bill love photographing. It is a very nice animal for sure and the f2's are even better!

The melanistic eastern female had 7 babies today, no slugs or stillborns. Surprisingly small litter for such a large female, she is not fat either, just big. All of the babies are normals dad was a erythristic flame so some of them have a little color. Nice outcrossed het melanistic though.
