Common garters are Thamnophis sirtalis and Red-Sided are Thamnophis sirtalis parietalis. Do you know which one they are or if they are a mix?

Nice looking babies though.

well had them as common red sided garters, low red so assumed sirtalis, thought pariatelis was all red, parents are pictured on pariatelis thread below

Well quite often parietalis have less red than normal sirtalis, it's really hard to tell judging by the red alone, the most red garters you'll find in parietalis range would probably be erythristic Common garters. To be honest i'm not that great at telling the difference between the two but looking at the way the red presents itself on your "sirtalis" and that they were sold to you as red-sided i'm leaning towards them being red-sided aka Thamnophis sirtalis parietalis.

But don't take my word for it, someone else with way more knowledge will chime in any time.

Thankyou, I have a female pariatelis, I might throw her in with the male and see what the off spring are like :D

You should post closeups of all your adults faces so someone can try to identify them for you. Most people aren't fans of creating hybrids because garters are already confusing enough nevermind when they start hybridizing.

i know, that's why the parialallis is separate for now, (it was a silly comment!)
I will wait for their next shed after they have eaten and try and get some decent pics

Congrats on the new scrubs! They do look like sirtalis/parietalis intergrades though.
