Fourth litter of the year born! 12 healthy babies. The mother is an awesome Ery/flame eastern that I got from Julio as a baby and the father is an awesome ery albino that I got from Tom as a baby. Just had 9 beautiful T. radix scrubs born this morning. The female is our girl LG(Lucky's Girl), daughter to Lucky(R.I.P.) the father is Mr. Green Jeans. Hoping to get some of that green into these babies. It's been awhile since we had a birth at the Ranch and it is wonderful to be caring for little scrubs again. Most are still getting that first shed off and a few have already taken their first meal of worm chunks.

All 10 are eating. As a matter of fact I put a dish of cutup worms in and in record time it was empty. So, being the good pet I am I loaded it back up. That too was soon consumed rather quickly. 30 minutes later all the little scrubs were under the hide and resting. Not even a sentry was posted. I love baby T. radix

So now that I know what I have, anyone that has or will produce a male het that will work with my girl please keep me in mind. Almost forgot, the WC sire was Steve's (Guidofatherof5), we all know how those WC gems like finding their way to the ranch ;)

I haven't had the best year this year, but all of my breeders are young and are breeding for the first time. I've had 2 litters born and both females dropped very small litters of 3 babies each and 2 other girls slugged out. I'm still waiting on my two anery easterns, a snow plains female, and my stripeless similis to drop and I'm hoping for a surprise litter of infernalis. It's a little depressing considering I had 6 or 7 big litters last year, but it's part of it as you don't never know what to expect. I'm hoping these girls being first time breeders will do better next year, lol! I did have one female from my anery drop 3 babies which were 2 albino and 1 that looks like it will color up anery and it has like a tiger pattern so I'm excited about them. I witnessed a lock up and a sperm plug with my infernalis, but she does not appear gravid so fingers crossed for a surprise litter. I think i will go back to a longer brumation next year.

Albert Clark
06-09-2015, 05:41 PM
I thought my other pastel het granite was gravid but that's long gone. I then was thinking that the albino checkered was going to drop something for me with a retained sperm possibility. She refused a couple of meals and looked like she was putting on weight. I am still watching her today though. IDK.

Theyre not as stunning as a Carolina red morph or flame but I think theyre kick *** for a local specific sirtalis. My pairing ideas are still in the air at this point. I have an axanthic (blue/black) radix male that might see 2 or 3 females this year. For sure I will be putting him with my anery female. He may also be paired with my WC T+ female. But she could also see an axanthic (B/W) male, not sure. I also have a snow female that should be ready and again not sure which male. All radix. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
my first litter of 2016 was born about 2hrs ago. 7 healthy snows and about 7 jellies. its this girls first year breeding so i didnt expect this much from her. shes 26in and 15 months old. although i find it very odd that all snows were produced. the pairing was anerythristic het albino x snow.......weird

The concinnus pair have bred but as soon as the female sheds I will reintroduce him to her. As well, my albino marcianus pair have taken off and locked. Waiting for the female to shed to pair them back up. The pastel het granite trio seem to be very slow with really no action at this point. The females act like they are still in brumating conditions even though they have been out for almost two weeks. Oh well, I'll let you know as soon as there is any action. LOL. The albino granite checkered project is slated for later this year.

Well, it didn't take much longer. Pastel females emerged from hiding and the chase is on in the tub. Man! They are making so much noise. Guess that's a good thing. The male pastel is very busy and chasing both females. Hoping to get more granite pastels this season.
