Hi guys...sorry I've been MIA for so long. Nursing school is unbelievably difficult and time consuming, to say the least. I have two classes left, and as long as I pass them both, will be finished in April. Thank goodness!! So, to update on the snakies...lost another baby, Zeus...one of the last of Cee Cee and Seeley's litter. He definitely had failure to thrive and I kept him alive as long as I could...poor thing. He lasted two years though...and passed with his daddy near by, so at least he was not alone. All the other snakes are doing well...I have been trying to room snakes together for company and less enclosures to tend to. I have Hermes, Seeley, Little Joe, and Perseus together now...and they seem to love being together...Hermes has even become a bit more social. Sadie and Izzy, the eastern I got from Shawn, are together and they just love each other...snuggled together all the time. And then of course, the twins, as I call them, Snapper and Peanut...the two easterns I rescued from my basement...are still together. Snapper is just as snappy as always...bites me every chance he gets. Ziggy is alone since he is very skiddish...he freaks out if I even put my hand in his enclosure to feed him or change his water. He has gotten really big for a male eastern...I'm going to have to post pics. Well, that's my update. Hope everyone is doing well! Oh, I forgot...I'm getting another snow radix from Tommy T.Radix soon. Can't wait since I miss my Possum so much. Tommy is sending me a het albino radix (is that right, Tommy?) female as well to keep the snow company for the ship. I want to find a good home for her as I will not be keeping her after I quarantine the two. Tommy...can you post a pic of her please? Let me know if anyone is interested...will give her to a good home for shipping cost.

That snow is so adorable. I think I'm going to name him Osiris. My son and I like Greek and Roman god names for snakes. If you know anything about Greek and Roman mythology, Osiris was the god of reincarnation...and since the new snake looks just like Possum, I thought it would be fitting.

Greek and Roman gods and heroes are a good source of names. I've worked in many places where the servers have been named after gods. :-)
Don't leave it so long between updates again Marnie (although I'm not in much of a position to criticise as I've slowed my posting over the last 2 years).

Babies arrived today!!! Two radixes from Tommy T.Radix...so cute, so tiny. Having trouble getting good pics at the moment because they are both enjoying exploring a hanging plant...but here is what I could get so far...introducing...Osiris, male snow...and Luna, female...

Little Osiris shed today. Unfortunately, I went and got my hair done yesterday a few hours after receiving the new babies, and when I returned...they both decided they have no idea who I am. Lol. They keep looking at me like..."What is going on here?? Where are we and who are all these new people??" Lol. I'm going to feed the babies some worms today. Wanted to give them both time to settle in yesterday. I will hopefully get some good pics up soon. Just to make a comment about Tommy T. Radix...great guy...was a pleasure doing business with him. He obviously cares a lot about his snakes and the people he does business with. Couldn't be more pleased. Definitely recommend him as a breeder.

Well, we actually decided to do a name change...we changed Luna to Seraphina. Something about Luna just didn't fit for her. She looks more like a Seraphina to me. Osiris's name will stay the same...it fits him. Both snakes are doing well...they both shed...ate some fish and some worms. They are still skiddish though...they like to hide under the hide that is under their heat lamp. Seraphina will come out and get water and give me looks when she wants food. I actually go in and take Osiris over to the water and hold him over it and he takes a drink a couple of times a day. He does like to go into his tree occasionally...he actually ate from his tree last night...I hand fed him little worm pieces.

Osiris ate from his tree again tonight...he's so funny. Seraphina eats in a little tub. They enjoyed some tilapia.
