my new concinnus has suddenly gained weight in no relation to her food intake (picky eater)
as you may know I'm a reformed snake over feeder, and I've seen a few over weight snakes
this looks a bit different though

I'd say it's definatley possible.
Just a random question- how long is she?

about 24"
there's a bit of tail missing, so maybe over
Rhea, I'd say there is a good possibility she is gravid. In an advanced stage you will feel lumps in her belly if she is.

A cautious "congratulations!", then, if she's gravid. :) My female didn't get gravid, which is sort of what I was hoping for.
if she is gravid write me down for 1.1 :)

will do, Josh
if she is, it's a bit unexpected . . .

I say yes, it has the "bulge" you should be able to feel it when she glide through your fingers. it can feel like several soft marbles in side her or one soft noticable lump depending on her positioning and if she is relaxed

after looking at the pics closer it also appears the scales are a bit stretched another positive sign

here's a pic of my female before she dropped her litter, if you look closeley you can see the stretched scales though she never got *chunky* like the pugets did (like the picture of a super gravid puget on the home page of this site) hope this gives you a better idea

She looks a lot bigger than 24" in those pictures. My female is about 35" and looks about as long. A bit thinner, though. :)

Hmmm....could be gravid. Looks like the weight is more towards the back of the snake. It so hard to really tell though.....hope she is.:D
