Today I noticed my garter had laid a particularly smelly pile on the side of his cardboard tube. What stood out to me was, before I had taken the picture, (It dried, I assume) it left a considerable wet spot on the tube and the paper towel. Is a runny stool a sign of something bad? Or am I just overreacting?
It's eating frozen/thawed Tilapia and had a little bit of Black Sea Bass several weeks ago, if that's of any help.11193

That picture appears to just be dried urates. Normal color, no problem.
I've noticed mine tend to have especially runny/smelly poo after eating fish and worms. I think it has to do with how quickly those foods are processed in comparison to mice. If you notice odd colored poo or something that strikes you as really abnormal, or constantly runny poo, you could be looking at some sort of parasite issue. The occasional runny bm is nothing to worry about though.

I agree with Lora. Dried urates and nothing to worry about in that photo.
I've noticed that sometimes the urates are pretty dry and passed with faeces, other times I see more fluid when the urates are passed. I consider it normal.

I concur with the above opinions.
