Hi I'm Michelle. I currently live in Vermont, moving soon to North Carolina. I've had a long time love for Garter snakes and kept them off and on since I was a kid. I found this forum when I was googling for how to help an injured Garter snake the other day and I have to say I'm extremely impressed with the knowledge and helpful info that the members share on here. I'll try to get a picture up of the recent rescue I found yesterday. :)

Nice to have you with us Michelle and thank you for your kind words about the forum. Garter snakes are the focus of this site and it is filled with kind and caring people.
Here's a link to the care sheet which is always a good read. Thanks for taking the time to help the injured snake.

Whatever you do DO NOT LISTEN TO THE GUY ABOVE. He knows nothing about GARTERS. Especially Radixs, I heard he only has like two scrubs:-)
Welcome!

Thanks for the welcome. I actually saved that care list to my computer so I can share with others who keep Garters. :)

Yeah I know, the 2 pet stores near me insist that they can eat them. I have never witnessed a Garter nosh on insects before. lol I'm trying to upload pictures of the Garter I have now but I keep getting "Post denied. New posts are limited by number of URLs it may contain and checked if it doesn't contain forbidden words." lol

Welcome Michelle, I'm pretty new here myself, except I dont have much experience with snakes. As for the posting problems, seems most pepople have that. I think it might have to do with browser settings. I dont keep history or cookies etc, and I seem to auto log out every now and then from the site while I'm typing out a post. I copy save just before I post just in case.

Thanks. I tried using the photobucket but it seems that I can't even post without photos still in the urgent forum.

I had a problem with photos stuck in the queue. I contacted Boots(forum owner) and he was able to fix the problem You might drop him a PM and see if he can lend a hand. He's a great guy.

Ok. Thanks. It's not like the snake is in horrible shape it's just I would like an experienced opinion on it. I've never dealt with spine injuries in snakes. I'll give him a shout.
