Ok. I know the overwhelming opinion is that garters wont eat crickets. I was feeding some of my Scorpions this morning (Buthid sp). I threw a juicy cricket with its legs popped off in my "display" garters tank in my bed room. He had no problem with the cricket.

Is it something in crickets that could potentially be harmful or is it just not readily accepted by most Garters?

Garters can't digest the exoskeleton of the cricket.

Considering some of the old posts you've dug up and replied to I'm surprised you've not read anything about feeding crickets as the question comes up time and again.

I've browsed through them (I skim and scan old posts for first hand experiences with Thamnophis) I didnt know that they cant digest the exoskeleton? Which ended up regurgitated. I thought they were simply one of those food items that are primarily ignored by garters. Sorry if I wasted your time Chris.
