The Lake Chapala garter (Thamnophis eques obscurus) is a large garter snake found soley in Lago de Chapala, Mexico. Difficult to capture their true colors in photos, the dorsal area is dark brown in color and the lateral stripes are bluish teal in color. The coloration is more pronounced in the babies. These do take readily to rodents in captivity. Pictured is an adult female (not for sale) and a baby (for sale). All the babies look identical to one another. Will only sell lone females or two or more females per male.

Females $45
Trios $125
One male & 3 females $150
