They are out in full force in North Omaha Nebraska. 10 caught in the field next to my home yesterday (released) and several in our fire wood pile. Several out last night. Wish I had a camera on me. One female and what looked like a male in a "den" of sorts next to our house coming out to sun periodically yesterday.

Very cool.

T. radix - Plains Garter Snake lives in the cities around people. T. s. parietalis - Red Sided Garter Snake are the country snakes.

lol, it's the opposite here. It all depends on the geography and where man-kind has decided to invade.
