Will someone tell me if I am completely wrong...this guy posted a pic of a "checkered garter" on fb and swears it is checkered because easterns don't inhabit San Antonio. That snake does not look like a checkered and according to the bible, easterns do inhabit Texas...It looks like an eastern to me.

I'm seeing a checkered, but I don't keep Easterns so the subtleties of the species are not familiar to me.

Okay...well, I have no problem admitting when I am wrong. Just wanted to check with you guys because I haven't seen a lot of regular t.marcianus...mine is albino. And I remember seeing a couple of member's checkereds that looked much more checkered than that one...but like I said, I don't have a lot of experience personally with them.

The colours a lot like my Eskerina, her colours are darker than most checkereds you see.
