I volunteer at my kid's school doing maintenance work. While I was sitting in my work area I heard a couple kids coming down the hall yelling for me. They found me and told me there was a snake in there room stuck on some tape. I went to their room and found this beautiful female T. radix female stuck in two places to some packing tape. I stopped by the kitchen and got a bottle of cooking oil and went back to my room. She was caught on the jaw and the first third of her body. Using the cooking oil I was able to remove her in short order.
She was give a quick bath to remove the cooking oil and placed in a small container. She seems to be in good health but refused to eat any earthworms. She's at home on the Ranch now and resting. I think she'll make a full recovery.
I named her Sticky:D

Lucky girl. If you weren't working there it could have been very different.

I'm glad I was there to save the little radixes, no matter what side of town she's from.:D

Is she going to live out her life in the comfort of the Ranch, or in the comfort of the yard?

The yard is just grounds of the ranch, its a multi step process leaving the ranch, first inside then outside and MAYBE back to the wilds lol. Steve have you ever thought about building an outdoor enclosure area for them? My idea would be a frame with mesh around it, with holes to exit and enter at their will, a watering hole, or a big dish to soak in, and some hides maybe a few climbs, call it a shelter/safe haven. Maybe its a bad/dumb idea but i like the idea.

That's my back yard minus the mesh.:D

I've actually toyed with the idea of building an observation platform to watch the comings and goings.;)

Yea an observation area would be awesome especially if you can find a good/consistent way to lure them in
