Hi TF, Ive had my garter snake for about two months ever since i found her in my house after she escaped, I feed her guppies and nightcrawlers on a regular basis and i noticed that some pet stores in my are a carry mosquito fish as a feeder item, i searched the care article in the home page to see if mosquito fish were in there as safe or unsafe prey items and i was just wondering what your experience with mosquito fish was like if you used them ever

I have used Gambusia on occasion with troubled eaters but never as a staple in their diet. The risk from parasites is too great for me. With the availability of fresh, safe fish(tilapia-fresh not frozen) I don't see the need for them in most situations.

My post wasn't meant to make you not use them. Under the right circumstances I think they are a great tool to use with troubled or non-eaters.
