Hello, all! I am new to this site, and to collecting garters. I look forward to meeting you all and sharing ideas (etc) -- you guys have already shown how helpful you are right from the first post I made.

Hmmm a little about myself, I suppose.. I live in Alberta, Canada.. I am a security guard (aka "bacon bit"); I like art, music, um.. yeah not overly interesting in that regard.

I have been collecting mostly geckos and lizards for around 9 years, currently owning a leopard gecko (he is an old-timer, but friendly as ever), a cornsnake (also, friendly as ever), and got a chahoua a few months ago which is turning out to be quite a smart fella. My collection was a lot larger in the past but I had to move a few times and have been bitten by the herp bug again.

I am starting the thamnophis collection off with two neon phase california red-sideds from Scott at albinogartersnake. Anyone have any pictures of their favourite neon cali? :)

Welcome aboard.

And here's one of my "infernal three" (there's actually a 4th,but he's younger than the three girls).

Haha love the welcome pic!
And very beautiful snakes, guys! Do they have a typical kind of personality? (shyness, etc)

I would say they are flighty....but with regular handling mine seem to warm up very well but i must say they like to musk and fling poop with their tails and smear poop with their tails so if condensed in;)to one word...."poopy"
