I love the Carolinas! Bushy park road in Charleston SC is a great spot for road cruising at night! I went out and found several water snakes, a corn snake, 2 greenish rats, a eastern garter, a cottonmouth, a copperhead, a crayfish snake, and 2 eastern mud snakes, and tons of frogs all in one night! I also did some field herping in Charleston on some game management land and found a eastern coachwhip a rough green, and a scarlet snake! We also had lots of fun fishing at Isle of palms and playing on the beach! In spots of North Carolina I find some nice looking garters flipping rocks on the side of a river!

A good friend of mine just got back from australa about 2 weeks ago! He went with several other herpers and brian barczyk from bhb! He said they had a blast catching some awesome animals! It cost him around $9000 to go though!

I love taking road trips! Can't go wrong with the Carolinas. I've been wanting to try and find some cottonmouths.

Pick the right weekend in Spring and visit the dens at Narciss. I'm sure Thamneil would give you a tour of the less public sites.
