soap??

I've seen threads and videos of people washing their snakes in soap every once in a while and I heard it was a solution for mites. but does it harm the snakes at all?? I'd imagine you would have to keep its head out of the water though

It being a help to get rid of mites is all I've ever heard about and have used it myself.
An infected snake is first put in a tub with just water. After 30 minutes the snake has usually gotten a drink and pooped. Now, put the snake in a tub with 1 drop of liquid dish washing soap in the water. The soap will break the water tension and not allow the mites to float on top of the water, effectively causing them to drowned. 30 - 60 minutes is usually works well.

This is not a fix but part of getting rid of them. Without treating the enclosure you've done very little. Have you seen mites with this snake?

No, not yet but I just put her on paper towel so I could see if their were any. But I was looking this stuff up just in case because I didn't want to risk anything with my other animals and soap is what I found. I honestly don't know anything about mites except that they're bad. Is their anything else I could do to make sure she doesn't have any??

I will say, you want to be careful the kind of soap you use. Dawn works well on mites (and on fleas), and is very gentle. You don't want to use any soap that has a bunch of additives, like skin softeners.

Quarantine on white paper towels for a few months should prove whether the snake is infected.
