Today, I spoke with the Texas State Herpetologist (Andy Gluesenkamp) with regards to the keeping of native garters as pets. I post a link to that thread.
While talking with him he said that there is a study in progress with regards to T.sirtalis annectens - Texas Garter Snake. He's requesting help in that study in the form of tissue samples from dead snakes or sheds. Anyone that can help with the study should contact him.
