So Harley is about to shed again. It's only been about 2-3 weeks since her last shed. I'm expecting this one to go smoothly as well.
I know I had originally said that I'd wait for a second shed before housing her with anyone else, but this happened pretty quickly after the last one (the scales were healthy but you could tell she had just come back from a bad skin issue). So, I'm still going to wait another month or so at least assuming this goes well. I do really want to house her with Stupid (his name was going to be Balin, but he acts so stupid... It was fitting) but the main thing is her safety. I don't want her to become gravid before she's replenished all the nutrients she needs to.

Also, I know I've bragged about how great Harley is before but we had some friends babysitting the critters this last weekend, and one of them has worked as the public education reptile guy at a park. He told my husband how nice she was in particular, and was amazed at how easy to handle she is. It's kind of like hearing a babysitter say your child was the most well-behaved or something.

Sounds like she's working on those scales.
I think you've made the right choice when it comes to housing her with someone else, a little more time is a good thing.

Waited this long, no need to rush.

You know...my snakes have all been shedding like maniacs this summer. They are all shedding at least every month. I haven't seen any more signs of mites...I'm wondering if it's the weather or time of year.
