Very interesting interview and that albino is sweet. I am intrigued by the idea of a terrarium similar to water turtle conditions. That would be a great way to watch their water behavior. Having grown up with 40 plus years of observing wild behavior of garter snakes here in rural Iowa in North America on a regular basis every year all around me, in my yard, at my uncles pond while fishing, it is easy to take for granted. Hearing the European perspective is fascinating, it's like how we view an exotic African snake in the US. Made me have new or renewed appreciation for the garter snake.
