Thought of you guys...

So, I get out of my car after work this afternoon and notice a strange-looking formation sitting on a small pine stump......

I've seen tiny ones and huge ones, but never an intermediate size like this. I plucked a few leaches off him and set him back by the woods (the closest pond is in the heart of them). It's hard to see in the pics, but I was able to see body markings for the first time on a snapper...he wasn't algae-covered. There were lightreddish and yellow stripes running back from his eyes

I love snappers and their eyes. Tank freaks me out when he watches me with one eye and at the same time looks at something else with the other.
Thanks for removing the leeches and sending that young one on its way.
