The other day I feed my Iowa albino T.radix a nice sized night crawler. I gave it to him head first and the snake made short work of it.
I had been holding the snakes as not to create a food fight in the enclosure. When I thought he done I placed him back in.
It was then I saw the snake open its mouth and appear to be ready to regurgitate the worm. While its mouth open I saw the head of the night crawler. It was attempting to escape. The snake struggled to keep it down for a few minutes but eventually pushed it down toward the processing plant.:D
That darn worm did a 180° turn and tried to make an escape.
Amazing, at least to me.

Wow. I bet it wasn't very pleasant to the snake, having the worm turn around inside of it. But definately an interesting thing to see.

I've seen this before ... I think you can even see the surprise on the poor little boogers' faces :O

:D
It must be a case of: "I'm sorry. I'm the predator, your the prey. Let's get this relationship back on track."
