My only W/C T.s.parietalis (Red Sided Garter Snake) a female was due to shed so this morning I checked on her and found the complete shed from her bottom scutes. Worried she had a retained shed I searched on. Next found the complete shed from her complete lateral shed. I then quickly found the complete tail shed.
Anyone else found this kind of strange shed?

I've had one with about 50% of the dorsal shed torn away from the rest, similar to your shed but your girl did it bigger and better.
I've had another which was perfect apart from it being in two pieces with it broken a few centimetres above the vent.
Nice pictures, I tend to forget about photographing sheds.

As a matter of fact, I have a red-sided who's about 5 or 6 months old ( not sure cause the seller wasn't exactly sure). He has shed three times and always in 2 or 3 peices. The first time I was worried about a retained partial ,cause I never had the front top,inc luding the eyecaps. No sooner was I thinking this when I found them ,stuck to the roof of his hide.I save all sheds so I'll post a picture inthe next day or two.I don't have internet at home or I would have included
them today.
I just wanted to say hi to Everybody out there .I hope you are all doing well.I rarely post so I also want to say thanks to all of you who post regularly,
especially the mod,s. Thamnophis.com is The Best Website .Period.
