So I am always annoyed at the price difference between trout fillet and whole trout.
trout fillet is about £4 a tiny piece. Whole trout is two whole trout for £4.
So, I tried cutting whole trout and made a complete mess....until I found this video. I swear this video has made me a superb fish fillit expert

now I buy the cheaper whole trout and get twice possibly 4 times as much fish and cut it professionally!
Really is worth a watch!

Beautiful.
That's almost exactly the way my dad used to fillet perch and walleye after a fishing trip, but we had to scale those before they were cleaned.. do trout not need scaling?

Im overdue to renew my fish and small game license. I'll have to do that when I get to the bait store later.
