Hey all just wanted to get some feed back on my projects. started building theses waterfalls for reptiles cause some of the waterfalls out there are kinda sad and way to much for how they look. 839783988399

They look good, any photos / info on how they are made and sealed so as to be safe for snakes, Plus how do they hold up for cleaning etc?

I Use styrofoam, unsanded grout, aquarium silicone, non toxic acrylic paint, and then a water sealer.If i don't want to use grout I'll use paintable black silicone then paint is so its not that heavy. This one I used the paintable silicone no grout

Thank you. Well I used I think it is 1 1/2 inch thick Styrofoam that i get at Home Depot. It's kinda hard to explain. I'm actually going to start making another on in a couple days and I'm going to record how make them, then I'm going to put it on the forum

Pretty cool, and plenty of interaction built in. I've been looking at a couple of my vivs and thinking I need to make them more interesting for the inmates.

What size ExoTerra are you using? Is it 60x45x60cm?

It takes me about 15 min to clean. I clean it every 2weeks. I use a little vacuum to clean the tank.

i love the waterfalls! i have one of the retail ones and... it works... i use it for two of my mountain horned dragons becuase they wontdrink standing water, it has to move... I WANT TO BUY ONE OF YOURS!!!!!!

Thank you. Yea my snakes love the falls. I actually sold all the waterfalls I'm made. But I started to work on one already. If you would like one I would need to know the size.

Forgot to mention it looks fantastical... have you thought about painting the bottom(outside) either a blue or black to give a better contrast when they're in the pool area? I think its either latex or acryllic paint... which can easily be removed if you don't like it. I'll have to look for the type it was i used for a few of my fish tanks.

Thank you, I really like to make there enclosures as real as possible. I put gravel with some fake water plants in it to make it look more natural

nice... I'd like to be able to do that one day... I have a bad problem of being messy and getting stuff all over the place... resealing some leaky aquariums was interesting. I'm sure there'd be epoxy and styrofoam all over the place lol

ricky, those are all well crafted and I think with your talent that you should start a patent on those waterfalls and take the idea to "SHARK TANK". Seriously, you need a big time investor too back you up and start mass producing them. Good luck.

Thank you very much for that Albert. I tried to do something like like at the local reptile stores and they didn't even give me a chance to show them any of them. So to be honest that was discuraging. Now I just like to build them for myself

But you cant let a couple of small time pet shops discourage you though. Try the bigger ones like "LLL reptile, Underground reptiles, and Big apple herp". You should keep trying to sell your production ideas. Maybe you need the right manager. Lol. :D

So what kind of pump/filtration system does this use? This seems like a great idea for feeding live fish, especially if you breed your own and can control the health and nutritional value of the fish.
