I use calcium with D3 powder and a multivitamin powder produced by ExoTerra. I've also got supplements in liquid form which I drop into the water every couple of weeks for my garters when they aren't eating.

I use water-soluble supplements - Reptasol and Calcimise. I give a constant trace amount. When I had a smaller number of snakes I used a two liter bottle and made up the sol in advance, keeping it in the fridge (1 drop reptasol, 20 drops calcimise).

I think a well rounded diet is the most important thing. I do use calcium and multivitamins on occasion though. Just dust a small amount on the food as needed.

Your username stuck out to me. You keep snakeheads?

I did do for a long time. Had micropeltes, lucias, bleheri and Argus. It all got too much for my partner with the kids and had to make the decision fishor her and the kids.. Should of chose the bloody fish.

I use Rep-Cal with D3. Not sure if it's available in the U.K.
Amazon.com: Rep-Cal Reptile Calcium Powder with D3: Pet Supplies (http://www.amazon.com/Rep-Cal-Reptile-Calcium-Powder-D3/dp/B00061UWJM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1362922921&sr=8-1&keywords=rep-cal+calcium+with+vitamin+d3+ultrafine+powder)

I'm sure I've seen Rep-Cal available over here recently, at least online, possibly on Amazon.

Very cool! I've kept micropeltes and pulchra. They are such a special group of fish.

I don't use anything. I just keep the diet varied and nutritious. I won't use a supplement unless a particular snake was too picky and the diet was lacking. If you insist on using supplements be very careful and use sparingly. More is not better.
