I was just feeding one of my florida blues the smaller baby and she ate about a worm cut into halfs all was ok then she started to convulse and what loked like was trying to regurgetate she got the worm out but now is acting strange, she usally goes crazy when I try to touch her but now she is still and unresponsive, she is far from dead but I need some help on what to do. Should I just leave her alone?

Leaving her alone for right now is about all you can do at this point. I've had little ones do this and then recover.
I must ask what kind of worm you are feeding? Any chance it's a redworm/pan fish/compost worm?

Regurgitation is like waves of muscular contraction moving from mid body to head. Odd looking, but definitely an organized effort to get the food out.
It is definately stressful. She may be exhausted by the effort.
Not much to do but let her rest, and offer different food when she recovers.
I have had snakes regurgitate occasionally, for no reason I could identify, and they were fine.
Watch her. Let's hope its no more than a tummy ache.

They have been eating the same worms thier whole life. I get them from Walmart and they are candian nightcrawlers. She seems to be doing a little better she managed to get herself in a hide and is curled up in there.

The only reason I asked was because it seemed like a reaction to the food. I did find a compost worm in with my night crawlers from the same company that supplies Walmart. It only happened once out of 10's of thousands of worms though.
Just a thought.
How is the snake acting now? normal tongue flicking? smooth movements?

Yes, I think everything is fine she is right back to sticking her head out with the others and is acting normal again. Sorry for the scare must have just been something weird with the worm.

Is she getting any supplements? If so, what and how often?
What you witnessed isn't the norm and should be monitored.

I was giving her calcium with D3 but have not done that for awhile because I feed pinkies atleast once a week.

Here she is she is the bluer of the two. I also had another question I might as well ask, she seems really small compared to her brother. She is more beefy and filled out whereas her brother is much longer and skinier is this normal? PS: You might be able to see she gave me a nice hefty musk when I first picked her up.

Thanks for the photo.
How much is she getting fed at a feeding? She looks really full in that photo.
I ask because some snakes don't handle being over fed(no offense) very well.

She is fed about 1- 1/2 worms every third day. When I am feeding pinkies she gets one small pinky.

Just like a little onetime thing that could have happened from really anything.

I have noticed that some of the baby similis will be shorter and more heavier bodied and some of them are longer and slimmer and it's usually the females that appear shorter and heavier. I have also noticed that some of them grow a little faster. This sounds more like a food issue either she ate too much or got too hot or cold so give her a day to rest and then offer a small meal. keep us posted on her status! It could have also been from movement if something sared her she could have regurged because in the wild if a snake has a full belly they will regurge if threatened. I hope she gets better and by the way they are looking great and coloring up real nice!

I will say that my female similis is growing far quicker than my male. Both are good feeders but the female definitely eats more! She is a lot heavier bodied than any of my other young snakes.
