updated pics of obscurus, similis, and radix
The similis is a wild caught female from Levy County Florida, similis is a stunning species its to bad i really cant capture their beauty.
The red radix belongs to Don Belnap, shes here on breeding loan. She is also wild caught from Ian Campbell, shes from Nebraska.
Wow the similis is amazing , what I would give for a beauty like that.

Very nice! I loove Chapalas:D
I am going to have to add them to the wanted list. Poor hubby is going to wish he hadn't agreed to me keeping snakes :) Sadly he has little to no interest in them but I'm training the kids who all love them.

I love the Obscurus too! Do they darken up when they mature or is the yearling just a lighter snake?

All very nice. Most jealous of the Radix, we aren't allowed them here (can only keep wild native Radix, no breeding or importing/exporting allowed)

Joe what are the plans for the radix if I may ask? Are you producing more reds with what you have, or something else? You have reds from Steve?

no, probably around 35 inches if i had to guess, shes only 3 years old
I wonder if my girl will look very similar to this when she's older or if the colours vary much.
