Finished the garter book.
Terrible problems with grammar/spellcheck errors. Could be solved by a good editor.
Good basic info EXCEPT that he recommends rosies as a feeder.
I spotted no other major flaws in one quick read thru. ( a number if mi.or ones for debate, but not life threatening.)

Opinions differ about the rosies but I can tell you that Scott uses them and so do other respected breeders. there is a place for them in the hobby. They often get babies started that would otherwise die. I'm sure there's a note in there about thiaminase too isn't there? Anyway, I don't have a kindle so I guess I'll have to take your word for it.

Yep. He does have a section on thiaminase- he advises a mixed diet.
Not a bad beginners guide at all, just needs a good clean up by an editor. (As my posts often could. I love/ hate autocorrect.)
