I've been curious about this for a good while: How much did you pay for your garters (provided that you bought them) and where did you buy them from (breeder, store, other hobbyist etc.)?
I'm asking, because I'm curious about how the prices vary depending on location and source. I myself paid 58€ for the male parietalis and 85€ for the female. Both from stores.
im paying 75 usd for babies from don.

I always buy from hobbyists or breeders. The least I have paid was shipping only (for a baby that would not eat) and the most I paid was $80 for a supposed flame garter that ended up being a CA red sided.

my most expensive snake was the blue striped I just lost @ $100.- plus shipping.
next most was a snow plains @ $95.- who ended up with a prolapsed rectum and despite my vet's heroic efforts did not survive babyhood
the others were all in the neighborhood of $10.- to $40.-
that's my garters
all my other snakes are adopted, with adoption fees ranging from $35.- to $85.- (the hognose)

I paid £130 for my pair of albino checkereds
My oldest normal checkered was a birthday presen from my parents 2 yrs ago.
My other checkered was free from my local shop, her previous owner had no longer wanted her, donated her to the shop, she wasnt doin very well with them, they knew i kept garters so i said id take her and see what i could do.
Think my parietalis was around £25
My Oregon red spot was £100
Cant remember how much my eastern black necks were but i got them from a wholesaler, think they were £30-35 each
and finally my tetrataenia my male was £100 from Alan Francis and my pair of babies was the most ive paid for garters at £240 the pair or £170 each!!
One pair 1.1 of Oregon Red Spotted juveniles for $5. USD each at an expo.
One gravid T. s sirtalis at same expo for $10 USD ( She had 15 healthy babies 6 weeks later
