This is another question about my baby Sithis that had a mouth infection awhile ago. Everything looks the same as it did when I last posted; the major swelling went away and never came back. However, on both sides of the mouth it is still puffed up enough to see the gum tissue. Everything looks healthy and pink, and he's just as insane when I put food in as ever. Only thing I notice is that the tissue feels a bit hard; like scar tissue pretty much.
I've been treating daily with diluted hibiclens just to be certain (last time I quit it got really bad in only about two days...) I was just wondering how long it is safe to treat him with this? Regardless I'm going to continue swabbing the mouth out twice a day with a wet Q-tip just to make sure things don't stick on the exposed gum tissue.
On a side note, he seems to have hit a growth spurt in the last week or two. He's starting to look more like a real snake than just a pale earthworm now!
