So I just noticed this the other day on my High Red Plain female. She is seeing the vet tomorrow but wondering if anyone has seen something like it?

Also a video to help. Thoughts?

Beautiful snakes. Not sure what to make of this.
It will be interesting to hear the Vet's report.

Personally unless she stops eating or some other major concern arises I wouldn't be too concerned. Chances are she will just shed it right out and the vet most likely won't be able to do much except charge a ridiculous amount of money to tell you it is nothing, or he/she doesn't know.

Thanks for the replies guys! Yea she's acting completely normal, eating like a damned pig, pooping, and getting fat! Ive just never seen this before and it was like suddenly there. Your the second friend who's suggested just watching it till she sheds...which is my thoughts as well. Cause EVERYTHING else is normal with her!

I would just keep a close eye on it probably nothing life threatening.

I would not worry about something like that. These kinds of things most of the time dissapear without interfearing. When her behaviour is ok and she eats well, I would not go to the vet. But that is what I should do. You will have to make your own decision in this...

She is beautiful. I am wondering if those are mites on your hands in the video though...I see little black spots on your fingers. If she has mites, that could explain the bulge. Other than that, it doesn't look like anything to worry about at this point. If it gets bigger, then I would be concerned.

I wouldn't waste money on a vet either. I would wait and see if anything changes. Doesn't look serious to me.
I would just dab with iodine or hibiclens twice a day and wait to see what happens. It'll probably just heal up.
