Hi all,
recently I made a test-video with my snakes as a cast ;)
so if someone wants to see them:

Canon 600D/Rebel T3i, Video+Picture test (video issue) - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIDk9Thv9fQ&list=UUM_G3YMEEYYPPVBua3v8qxw&index=1&feature=plcp)

My voice is deformed but I hope it'll be clear.

Nice video. Love your name...it was one of the names I had picked out for my son, Julian. How do you pronounce it? It is pronounced "whahkeem" in Mexican Spanish.

Thx, well since I live in Belgium my name is not spoken like Mexican Spanish,
but American people say it like "Jowhakeem" or something in that direction :)

I wonder, did you get a chance to try what I suggested in the comments? I really think you'll see a big difference in the quality if you do. Not that it's all that bad in the first place. It's pretty good. Just think you would have better results using NTSC. (but use 16:9 aspect, not 4:3) The frame rate is higher than PAL.

Furthermore, youtube suggests settings for the best quality, and the ones I told you about are what youtube suggests. They still have to process it and the processing affects quality too. They suggest specific formats/frame rate/codec, bit rate, etc. to minimize that.

NTSC, 16:9, 30fps, MP4 container, at least 2000kbps video, MP3 compressed audio, h264 video codec. Makes uploading/processing take minutes, not hours.;)

Hi, I recently uploaded a new video (Compilation of Summer-flights (onboard+outboard) - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-yX81PTiiE))

I rendered to 2500kbps, filmed in NTSC, 16:9, 30fps and rendered to h264 video codec.
1920X1280 It was filmed with the GoPro Hero 2. I also found all the functions on my new DSLR, so future videos should be better.
The most important thing on the dslr is that I now do have a class 10 (16Gb) SD-card.

Do you think that the video, of the link looks like it's uploaded right, or is ther still someting wrong (It took less than an hour to upload.)?

Looks great. Definitely an improvement. Might be able to squeeze some more quality into it if you use 2-pass encoding when you convert to MP4. Takes longer but improves quality.

Yes, I almost always use 2 pass, maybe youtube just doesn't like me ;)
