update about Sammy

so Sammy had her biopsy done
the vet left me a huge long message and then we ended up on the phoen for nearly half an hour
the tissue has not been analyzed in the lab yet
to him it looks like he cannot totally rule out it being glandular
some of it did extend to the thyroid
mostly it looked like fatty tissue though
we will know more when the lab results come back early next week
he said he got most of it out and she looks very different
she is doing well - normal tongue movement and all that
she won't be eating for a while though because of the sutures
I forgot to ask whether he took pics
so
please keep fingers crossed that nothing turns up

the results were basically inflamed fatty tissue
not that that tells us much, like - why was it inflamed
however it's not dangerous and I can minimize the chance of recurrence
she'll just have to be on a diet
he is going to keep her for me until after the move
he says she's recovering well
I can't wait to see her
I am so glad she's okay

Sammy's going in on Tuesday to get her stitches pulled
I got to spend some time with her today and took some pics
on this one the stitches are clearly visible
they look messy now
