Just thought i would say hello. I have not kept garter snakes since i was a teenager(long time ago) and at the moment i am on here looking at set ups and husbandry techniques before even buying a viv. I have kept several snakes since then but have spent most of my time keeping and breeding caudata (newts), mostly neurergus.

I hope to get a viv set up in the coming weeks then start to look at finding some nice well bred garters.

Nice to have you with us.
Maybe some local U.K. members that can help you get a captive bred snake or two.
Here's a link to the care sheet.

Welcome aboard from a miserable day in Coventry.
But judging from the title of your welcome thread...

Hi from Soke-On-Tent.England.
... you're having a wet week camping. ;)

As Steve said, there's a few of us in the UK so just ask if there's anything you want to know with a UK slant.

I was wondering about the camping bit, then i spotted Stoke-On-Tent, My wife is laughing her head off! :D
That should read Stoke-On-Trent, i think a trip to specsavers is required.

Not even Stoke-On-Tent, the thread title missed the "T" in Stoke too, making it "Soke", not quite "Soak" but near enough. Apologies for welcoming you to the forum and picking on typos at the same time, but the pun was too good to miss (in my own sleep-deprived mind). :D
