Hot off the press...latest addition!

So you will be sick of seeing my photos, but I just had to share some of my newest addition. It's a Mexican Black-bellied Garter (Thamnophis melanogaster canescens). It may not be the most colourful of snakes but I fell in love with it because of how different it is in looks to my other garters; much more nerodia-like, with narrower head and stockier body.

As much as most love the really colorful snakes I will say that I enjoy my very brown wandering garters the most given the simple collection I have now. Color is one thing but personality also has its place. I have changed my mind about color being king. The guy you have there looks very cool. Love the profile image. Excellent pictures and congratulations on your new addition.
