The idea was to leave it open for everyone to put their own spin on it.... I was thinking out of enclosure, out of natural habitat... Gonna have to stick with it guys lol. Still kind of new here and I was unprepared for an idea lol

just throwing ideas out there to get people started, I would totally shut up and do these but I need a new camera, so I'm tossing it out there

Set up a spare aquarium hawaiian style or any theme, print out a back drop, find some ornaments to put in, put snake in and wait for the perfect shot

Snakes on a plane... LOL XD

Snake in a pet carrier in a car

Snake on a Sombrero

Captive snake in a critter keeper looking at a wild snake on the outside looking at each other

Snake on a patio table near a margarita

Snake peeking out of a hawaiian style shirt

This month´s theme seems to be hard.

I have some ideas, but the weather is too bad for pictures outdoor.

When I first heard of this month's theme I was a little confused but then I thought of putting several small umbrellas (like the ones in fruity alcoholic drinks) in a garters enclosure, but I have no access to them at this time of the year.

I think this months theme will be easier for those who have kids as they can use their childrens toys as props?

I think you can find those little umbrellas at any dollar store

looking around my house, the only thing I would be able to do is a safari theme, I got little cheetahs and tigers, sand and a couple of my little fake trees, print out a backdrop.. but no camera... until I find some glue and glue that shutter open

This was not photoshopped. I set her on the bag of rice and waited until she was over the picture and still. Photoshop is not allowed.

Understood, but unless the other entry is actually a giant snake wearing a hate and suckin' down a margarita at the beach while staring at some chick posing on a randomly placed palm tree.. then my guess is it's photoshopped. :p

I see one photoshopped pic has already been removed but what's with the first one? How is that one still OK? You list the rules whenever you set up the contest but no rule there for photoshop/editing. Why is that? I thought it was against the rules.

Oh, I see. Sure looks edited. The edges of the snake look too "clean" as if it were cut out and placed over the background.

I don't even know how to do that. I have a great camera though. The rice bag is kinda shiny, maybe that's why it looks that way.

Well, that rule isn't on the list when Stefan sets up the contest and says "the rules are as follows" ...

It's not there. No mention of it.:cool:

EDIT: I see that has been corrected.

Most of our members that have been here a few years already know the rule but most of our active members are actually pretty new.

I thought it was common knowledge and it has happened so rarely that there wasn't really a need to have it written down.

It usually is. Or, I would say there's a 50/50 chance since I have won twice, but only one of those times did it end up on the portal page.:p

Honestly don't remember, at least 3.. The "giant snake" one, some one about "cute babies", and last years autumn/fall theme. Might have been a few others, not sure. He got 'em up every time, maybe late on some, far as I recall.
