I thought I would post under this topic because this relates to decorative pieces. So anyways there was quite a scare last night when I though little Lucy had escaped and or gone missing. I noticed she hadn't been out most of the day so before I went to bed I decided to check on her when I looked under her coconut and she wasnt there this is when I started to get worried and within about 5 minute I was in a panic. To make a long story short she mannaged to get inside of her branch, keep in mind that I looked there too but she found a little hidden cavern. I found her by filling the branch with water and flushing her out. So the morale of the story is always keep every little item under watch I could have looked in the branch and not have seen anything and have put it down where she then coud have really escaped. Atleast it has a happy ending.

Glad it had a happy ending.
What did you do to insure this doesn't happen again?

Fill the area with something like packing peanuts or glue from a hot glue gun.
Just an idea. It will allow you to continue using the item.;)

That looks like an aquarium decoration... Be careful as next time she could get stuck. I fill small holes with a hot glue gun n bigger holes you could stuff with styrofoam n them hot glue it or use expanding foam. As well since these types of decorations are meant for fishes n not something that slides along it, be wary of sharp edges. Again hot glue fixes lots :)

Good catch on that! I know I've bought a couple aquarium decorations for my snake, but have inspected them thoroughly(even the actual reptile ones), mostly because I saw one or two posts on here about accidents like that happening:eek: A couple things I've found rough edges on, and one decoration I need to fill in some holes with hot glue or something.

I knew she was going under there but i was ok with it because i though there was only once big cavern this was wrong.

could seal off the smaller part if you n her like the branch still. let her use the bigger part but be sure she cant get into a smaller spot. :)

Yeah, we were able to back him out, thankfully. It was either that or break it around him.

Believe me, I was freaking out when I brought him and the decoration out. I was like "What are we going to do now?"!!!! My Husband cooley and collectively, I might add, slowly coaxed him to back out. I had visions of cutting this thing, etc, well you can imagine...not a pleasant thought

I'd rather do stitches on one of my kids...

same thing happened when I had that same piece, and I couldn't get him out for 2 days lol. He was basically hibernating up there, i don't know if there was actually any problem, but I took the thing out. I don't recommend store bought decor like that, there's always something..
