I am always so greatful that I have all of you as my friends. It really is an honor. For many of us, we do not have many friends in the "real world" and we certainly do not know many people that understand our love of snakes. I get so sad when I hear about the loss of a member's beloved snake. But it helps to know that we have each other to help get through losses and also to celebrate the good times. Just wanted to let you know that I treasure my friendships on here and that I really feel for members when they are going through tough times. For those of you who have lost snakes recently...my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I'm glad I joined this forum because I have finally met people that have the same love for these hyper little buggers.

I've met 0 people one this forum and talked to another 0 over the phone. Considering my location in relation to the rest of the members, that's not likely to change.

You talk to Steve on Skype...

Mike and I chat everyday through text. I talk to Chantel on skype often, Chris sometimes on skype and Steve on the phone. I've only met Mike though! I have seen Steve on skype...

Text only, doesn't count.

Text only, doesn't count.
I still consider text a conversation, with the advantage it can happen asymmetrically if you're both busy.
There are definitely people on the forum who I would consider offline friends as well as online.

I have a little over a hundred(world wide) on my Christmas mailing list.

Hope to put out a yearly Ranch newsletter someday. (Mailing or PDF)

That's cool!
I love my online friends. I have many from an old book chat, some on another snake forum, a few on FB (along with old high school friends) and I hope to make some of you some good online friends some day, too!
I've met plenty of people online, chatted and phone conversed...and i married a guy from online..we met back when online was "weird" LOL

What would you think if I sang out of tune,
Would you stand up and walk out on me?
Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song
And I'll try not to sing out of key.

Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends
Mm, I get high with a little help from my friends
Mm, gonna try with a little help from my friends

P.S. I have met 1 member from this forum in person.

Perhaps the Cheers theme song would be in order here...but I can't remember all of the words...something about..."...where everybody knows your name...and they're always glad you came..." And something about "troubles are all the same". :)

You guys are my people.
