This has probably been done before, but I thought it would be nice to have some thamnophis people on my friends list.

Not sure if that's worked or not but feel free to add me :)

I also thought willing people could add their pages here :)

I hope nobody takes it personally, if I don't accept friend requests. A year or two ago I got tired of having friends that I barely know and got rid of most of them.

I don't see why anyone would take it personally. Sometimes you just don't want to accept requests. I never accept friend requests from my family. If I want to have them, I send them a request... Otherwise its all declined.

There was a time when people would get pissy over things like that. If those days have passed, that's a relief.

I'm sure some people still do, I don't see the point in getting pissy over it. If you don't want to add me, then that's your choice, not mine. Haha.

It makes sense to not add everyone that requests. Generally speaking I have a clear out once every few months. It's either people that I find irritating or people that are spamming me constantly that get removed.

I currently have 139 'friends' on fb and talk to... maybe 3 people who aren't family, and I talk to my family very rarely on there. I know everyone of the 139 but... don't consider any of them close. Got to thinking the other day how awkward our wedding will look no bridesmaids but there will be groomsmen? I have 1 friend who I only knew through grade 4-8 Who I'd consider for a bridesmaid... but she now lives by Toronto and has changed so much I don't know her anymore. I'm going to be deleting many people who don't care about me

I hear that, but they've created so many ways to deal with that, it's not even an issue anymore. You can place certain people in certain lists and give each list individual privileges/access. Eliminates the need to remove people entirely.

Not enough.

Not surprised. Few people have figured out how to use it correctly and effectively. I have to admit, they didn't make it easy, but once I figured it out...

It's like they're not even there. Until I want them to be, that is.

Used those features from the day they started implementing them. It wasn't enough, it was pointless, it served no purpose beyond letting you inflate your friend count by adding people that you didn't want around.

Hahhaha, that's funny. However, I found another purpose. I'm actually interested in seeing some of the things those "friends that I barely know" post on their facebook pages. Also interested in commenting / interacting from time to time. Impossible if they're not in your friends list.

Do I want their stuff cluttering up my news feed? No. Do I want them seeing everything I post, especially things that are really only intended for friends and/or family? No. Thankfully that doesn't have to happen.

Well isn't that special.
