Let me start off by saying that I don't know if this has been done before or if this is in the right spot, with that being said here we go. So rules are post your favorite picture of you snake, one picture per snake but you can post as many snakes as you have. After posting that picture give a little backround of the picture and the snake represented in the picture.

This is my girl (ol blue) something my son named her when he was 2 or 3. She is a wild caught (anery/axanthic ?) eastern that a friend of mine gave to me. She has the best temperment of all my garters and just a pleasure to keep.

At this moment I like this one the most.
A two year old male T. s. sirtalis, erythristic.
Not only because he's beautiful, but also because he changed from a very shy, very small snake into a curious, well grown snake thanks to a lot of attention.
He is the only snake that has "a name" in my collection. His Dutch name is "eikeltje". Translated... "prat" (I think)

Rest In Peace
This was my Daffy(first Babs before figured out she was a HE) I got him at a week old from a guy who chose to save a garter rather then drive over her with a lawn tractor, two days later she had 27 babies, He was one of them. Till a little while ago... I messed up, he got out and little while after that I found him but not before the cat did. :(
Miss my buddy. Picture doesn't do him justice, the orange strip is dead on, but all where this picture shows brown like his nose was a beautiful bright n deep green. His lateral stripes looked more like a light lime green then the pale yellow they seem here. I'm so sorry buddy.

He's a Gulf Coast Ribbon Snake (Thamnophis proximus orarius). His name is Proximus(how original, I know;)). The pictures don't do him quite justice. He's a real pretty turqoise type of green, blue color starting around his little cheekbone area down(only on his sides and belly, not the middle stripe), that starts to fade out a little towards his middle. I guess you can tell a little bit in the pic. He's a very pretty boy:)

Very pretty ribbon. I've seen some Thamnophis sauritus sauritus available to buy. He only has females though and I would be interested in a pair I think.
I really do think ribbons seem to be underrated and under represented

My first snake, in his second enclosure. I wish I could find another like him and I don't just mean one that looks the same.
Incidentally, this was the picture I used in my introduction thread on this forum.

You should upload the pictures to imageshack and post them here. Your attachments don't work.

Wait... She's a what? Looks like a perfectly normal ("wild type") colored T. radix to me:confused:

I was told that she would color up as she grows.....Which I hope is the case. I Bought her from scott she is supposed to be a 2.1 Red (axanthic x red X axanthic x red). Is this possible?

As far as the red goes, "coloring up" is a crap shoot. Some do, some don't. Typically, you should start to see red coming in by 6 mos old. If you don't, then she's not likely to color up. According to Scott's website, the axanthic trait is "co-dominant" .... "which means when they are bred to anerythristics, statistically 50% of the offspring will be axanthic". But that's not how a codominant trait works so i'm confused. With a codominant trait, even hets come out expressing the trait either partially or entirely.
For example, if a codominant anerythristic is bred to a normal, the offspring will come out somewhere in between normal and anery(hypoerythristic) or entirely anerythristic.
At any rate, so far it looks as though you have a normal snake. The traits you mention (red and axanthic) only really have any meaning if you plan to breed for producing axanthics or reds in the future. She may, or may not color up to be red.
Anyway, the thing that confused me was when you said she was axanthic. She's not, or she wouldn't have yellow on her at all. This is axanthic:

Sorry for going so way off topic. I have so many "favorite" photos of my snakes, it's hard to decide what to post here. I'm working on it.
